93 Cobra, Rear Bumper

Any advise on buying an aftermarket rear Cobra bumper.
Who has the best fit? best quality?
Which one not to buy?

Ford OEM or Cervini's

Is the Cervini's made out of the same type material as the OEM, or is it hard fiberglass?

I believe the Cervinis is urethane like the stock OEM piece. I have a OEM to go on my 91.

price for OEM?

Scappoose 01-16-2002 04:55 PM

I've been looking myself. $500+ new OEM, $250+ used OEM. There may be a greater deal out there, but I haven't found it.

Cervini's is $250.

Anybody use a different make?

poopstang 01-17-2002 03:34 PM

What about Design Concepts? they use urethane. $199 or ABC Exclusive, Inc? $150

I was wondering that myself. Or Age Classic. Every forum I've seen says use Cervini's, it's worth the cost, but they're generally talking about hoods. The comments section on StangNet about Cervini's products, everyone that has the Cobra bumper talks about needing to finish the wheel wells. A lot of flashing. If it needs finished anyway, why not pay $100 less? Unless it's minor finishing compared to major finishing.

I talked to someone at Design Concepts and it sounds like they have a decent product. I'm sure they don't need major refinishing.
I'll be painting and installing mine so we'll see how it goes.

Let me know how it goes.
