IT IS ALIVE, After 7 1/2 months :):):):):):D
Yes I fired it up today. I am so happy http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...oard/smile.gif The problem I was having turned out to be, that I had not connected the two wiring harnesses together.
I was so scared that I was going to have to install the mass air conversion that I have been sitting on for over a year now. The E cam sounds so mean. My buddies say that it don't sound like a Mustang.I say it sounds like a territory reclaiming Fire breathing dragon. ( a GREEN one) http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...rd/biggrin.gif Thanks to those of yall that tried to help, I apreciate it. ------------------ Jason B Johnson 88LX,speed density, edel heads,4.30s,B-303,cobra,tremac, 12.38 @ 111.28 1.80 60ft 28X10 street tires 12.17 @ 112 26 X 10 slicks http://www.mustangworks.com/mustangs/pictures/Listing347-slot3.jpg |
Sweet deal 88!
But just one thing anybody knows speed density can't handle even the most basic mods! Just ask any newbie that's hell bent on claiming they know **** about the SD 5.0's http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...rd/biggrin.gif Hehe, later Unit 5302 |
Wooohoo!! Glad to see you got her runnin again http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...rd/biggrin.gif

Hey workcar, let me know how your SD takes to a cam swap. I've wanted to put another cam in for a while but I've always heard that the SD cars don't run worth a piss w/out the stock cam. Glad you got your baby back, go enjoy. BTW: Are you interested in possibally selling your MAF conversion? Thanks, Light Em Up!! http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...oard/smile.gif

Thanks guys.
Noslo50, I ran a B cam for over a year. The E runs well so far. The newest problem is PLUG WIRES. The car would struggle to start and struggle to run. I pulled the coil wire from the dist. It would bairly spark. If I un-plugged it at the coil(MSD blaster 2) it would throw a spark a foot long. Well I cut it and ohmed each piece. The one that ohmed the best was made into a temp. coil wire. Today I picked up another set and will put them on before work tomorrow. My son wants to ride to school in the car so he can shut up a few kids about who has the baddest car in town???? Don't know what he means by that http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...rd/biggrin.gif ------------------ Jason B Johnson 88LX,speed density, edel heads,4.30s,B-303,cobra,tremac, 12.38 @ 111.28 1.80 60ft 28X10 street tires 12.17 @ 112 26 X 10 slicks http://www.mustangworks.com/mustangs/pictures/Listing347-slot3.jpg |
Nice! How do you like the E compared to the B? What are the differences, and why did you switch them?

Hey skyler, I think I read before that you said your car surges at times, usualy below 2000 rpm, and I read today that you werent happy with your cars performance and that it needs tuning. Look at www.swansonperformance.com They dyno tune your car and burn you a custom chip. Plus they fix your mass air probs so you dont surge anymore, they have a 2 page article about it. I called them and its not cheap, its around 600 bucks for the dyno time and custom chip. Do you like your 373's Do you ever wish that you had 355's. Oh and I realy like the B cam. with 1.7;s it raised my lift to 5.14 and the meaty 480 duration sounds awesome.

Cool, Im checkin out their web page now, once I get the blower on, that would be a good deal to goto. I love the 3.73s accerlation. On long freeway drives 3.55's would be nice cuz I tend to drive about 80+mph but its definatly ok. W/ Street tires, traction is 1st is kinda hard to get though.

I blew a head gasket today http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...oard/frown.gif I don't care. I am going to fix it with a good heart. I have been through so many problems it aint funny. I guess that an injector may have blead down into the cylinder while the car was sitting. I tried to crank it with the new plug wires and it popped, the it ran bad. I noticed the spew all over where the gasket blew. http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...oard/smile.gif oh well back to the tools.
