after the tenth start it starts hard

It doesn't want to start after about the tenth start after long or short trips. Sometimes I have to try more than once to fire it up. I got a Powermaster 140 amp alternator, new starter, and new battery in recently. Is this because of the battery in the trunk?

What gauge is the pos cable from the battery?
