65 Mustang Three Speed Chatter
 

Iam experencing a chatter in third gear about 60MPH as long as I hold my hand on the shifter it stay quiet soon as I take hand off it starts again. I have tried lub all the linkeage and ever thing is tight Iam not sure how many miles is on tranny I just got the car a few months back . I have a little trouble going into second sometimes other than that no slippage and runs good. Any advice would be appreciated. Also still looking for a way to put shoulder harness on my seatbealts. Thank you

Sounds like its time to re-build the shifter bushings. Dont stress they are very easy to do & may at best tave about 1.5 hrs ,That is if your into detalis. Remember to replace the lower shifter boot while your down there. It will make a huge reduction in road noise not to mention dust & debre.
