switching heads on my 84 mustang

has anyone ever heard of problems with the stock 84 heads on my mustang gt 5.0 as far as sticking valves. Also which year heads would I be able to use in place of my stock 84 which would just bolt right in. Any help would be awesome.

Valves can stick on any head. I used E7TE's on my 76 motor when I pulled the heads. As long as there not milled to much every thing will be straight forward. They are about the best wrecker head you will find. You can find them on 87-95? HO cars, and ford trucks. You could try to find P-heads. I'm gathering you are trying to stay low budget.

yeah fairly low budget I wouldnt mind spending about $200 or so. You think the P-heads would be my best bet

you'd need different headers with the P heads...
