ran tank to low

A few days ago I ran my tank almost to below empty, then I dropped it off at the paint shop, when I picked it up three days after it ran like ****,stuttering really bad ,so bad it shakes the whole car, when I took it to my mechanic he said at first it was a deap cylinder, but then he check the compresion and it was fine,so he thinks it is a clogged fuel injector,I ran fuel injector cleaner though it but that didn't work,so should I spend the $100 and do it or should I buy new ones or does it even sound like a injector problem, any response to these questions would be greatly appriciated,

THANKS:confused:

one fuel injecter may go bad but,not all of them, i have seen too many people get scammed by that, make the guy show you the compression lbs on your cylinder's, dont just take his word since you ran your tank that low you may just have a clogged fuel filter it happens on fi cars i try not to let my tank go much lower than a quarter tank,ck your fuel filter first:) have you ever changed your fuel filter?

Sounds like its the fuel pump to me. When you run a car low or out of gas you burn up the fuel pump most of the times. The fuel pump goes out becuase it uses the gas to lubercate the moving parts in the pump, as does a engine using oil.

man not to dis anyone but usually when an electric fuel pump goes out ,it goes out ,you can crank your engine for day's ,but it wont start , holler at pkrwud, i think he will agree with me

Did you fill it back up with gas? Anyway fill the car up completely with some 93, and just drive it for a while, I think that'll cure your problem.
