Fuel line question

I am thinking about buying a 89 4cyl coupe that was converted to a 5.0 . It has -4 fuel lines from the tank to the hard lines attached to the fuel rails. Is this big enough for a motor that will make about 300 to the wheels N/A? I will also be putting a 150 (wet system) shot of N20 on it. What is the diameter of the stock lines on a 5.0?
Thanks

I really don't think that line is going to be large enough. -4AN is only quarter of an inch I.D. Pretty close to stock Mustang fuel lines, but who wants those constricted things? Stock lines are 5/16" O.D., so who knows what the true I.D. really is. Prolly smaller than that -4 line. Figure you're going to need some serious pumpage if you wanna support that 150 wet shot, in addition to what you're going to need to satisfy 300hp. The stock fuel system can support about 250-270, but that is pushing it. IMO, you're better off to OVERbuild the fuel system the first time because 1) you never know how far your project will go or what it will need eventually, and 2) if you build it right, it will be more reliable. You may wanna check out Rudy's article, found here, under powertrain, then fuel systems, I believe. Excellent article. Hope this helps.

Thanks Capri306. What would you recommend building my own or buying a kit such as one from aeromotive?
