Welcome to the great debate. Which is better? Both sides will argue over this one just like the ford vs chevy argument. It's all a matter of preference, YOURS.

Turbos are harder to install and harder to tune, but will make as much or more power than a equally setup supercharged car with less boost. Turbo kits are harder to get, sometimes taking as much as a year to get a kit, depending on what type of kit you order and who you order it from.

That being said, you can get probably any supercharger to your door in a couple of days, easier to tune, and easier to install.

A supercharger is turned by the motor, thus putting excess wear on the bearings. A turbo puts out alot of heat due to the exhaust and its trapped under the hood. A raised cowl hood can fix this problem though.

If you like people to hear you coming, install a supercharger. If you like to sneak up on unsuspecting victims, buy a turbo.

If you want a turbo site, check out www.turbomustangs.com. They have links to all the turbo manufactures, also check out the readers rides section. At the bootom are two modular motored cars and their numbers.

Hope this helps.
