How fast is the Chevy S10 Extreme pickup?
 

I borrowed my mother's '94 Explorer Limited today to go check out a '86 Mercury Grand Marquis for sale. To make a long story short, I'm at a stoplight sitting next to this S10 Extreme pickup with dual exhaust pipes. We look at each other and when the light turns green, I floor it. I got at least 2 to 3 car lengthes out before he pulled right by me. I knew the S10 would pull by me, but I raced him anyway. 190 hp 4.3 Chevy vs. 160 hp 4.0 Ford. Anyone know what a S10 Extreme will do in a quarter mile? I can't wait until I get my Mustang back on the road.

I'll bet you used to have wheelie bars on your baby stroller, didn't you? ;)

Well I could not find anything on the Extreme model but the 1998 S-10 runs 1/4 in 16.9 and 0-60 in 9.1. But then there is a 1994 S-10 SS Pickup model which is 0-60 in 7.1 and 1/4 in 15.2@89mph

The other day i raced a extended cab extreme with the v6, i smoked him with my 97 mountaineer, with the v8 baby.....just made me think what i would have done to him with my stang

0-60mph.........eventually:D lol
It maysay it has 4 cylinders but only 2 work the other are for show...

My mother is going to trade the '94 in for a newer Explorer later this year. I'll find her a 5.0 or 4.6 Explorer. We (or she) can't get beat by a Chevy at a stoplight.
