Thinking about TF Heads?
Will the TF head work on the 347 without taking it apart to fly cut pistons?????? Thanks alot for your time.

I just got TFTW for my 306 that has TRW flat top pistons . I did careful checks for piston to valve cleanaces as was DEMANDED by the manufacturer. That was with a CC 268 He flat tappet cam with TF 1.7 roller rockers. You'll also need to do a push rod length check first with an adjustable push rod (Lunatti/ Summit?). My advice is to follow the directions to a "T" .
Mine actually work great over my ported 351W heads both with 9.5/1 CR. I got .4 and 2 secs. off my et. Unbelieveably, I got only a few HP and TQ on the DynoJet. I have no explanation there. I did have extra power under the curve though. Rev |
Buy the track heats, unless you need emmissions legality and exhaust crossover. The track heat is the same as the twisted wedge, but has much superior components (higher quality springs, etc...) and is only like $100.00 more.
