4.6 Oil Level BS!
 

Sorry to drag this out but your oil is like blood to your body!;)
I have went to the previous posted thread about this problem(5qt-6qt)question.:confused:
Look,MAX does not mean "add" more.:eek:

whitestang00="99+, takes 5 quarts, my manual say's 5, I put in 5 and the stick reads right at full. The differance between the 96-98 SOHC and the 99+ is probably the oil pan. If you put in 6, then I would drain a quart, as its better to be a little low then over filled."

Oil filters are different sizes by Manf. It took be 2.5 hours to get the dip stick back to MAX level(by the drip,drip method).
If you like putting you "FOOT" in to it(and we all do).:p
Use the dip stick level(carry a extra qt.)or as stated,you will be making "Soap Suds" in your motor and at a $20,000-$30,000 price tag on the car,that would be a "Real Dumb" Idea!
