Computer Ques. for any Guru's.....
 

Hey guys I have a quick question for Y'all... Ive pulled my motor and tranny.(It's on the stand now) I put new doors on , and I want to check all the electrical stuff .. Would it harm the computer if I hooked up the battery? (Without the motor ) Oh ya the car is a 88' GT Conv. 5 spd ... Thanks EH!

I've done that before to use the stereo without any problems, but I serious suggest you make sure no wires are touching any grounds or other wires.

Exactly.... just veritfy where your wires are. I had my motor out of my Cobra for 3 months. Whenever I missed the car, I would hook up the battery and get in and listen to my bumpin stereo.

A better bet is to use a power supply that has a much lower current rating. If you've got a 5 or 10 amp battery charger, I'd hook that up. That way you're assured that any faults aren't going to draw a significant amount of amperage.

Thanks for your help! I think I will go with what Mr.chambers said and use my battery charger.
