What Next?
 

My 94 Cobra's got the mods in my sig, but everytime I race my bro (StoplightWarrior: 2000 GT with every bolt on but headers) he destroys me. Whenever we go from a roll, he gets a huge jump and pulls on me like nothing. Is it because of his 4.10 gears? I'm thinking 3.73's next, but I'm on a VERY tight budget, so whatever I do next is crucial, cause it's gotta hold me over for awhile. I want to supercharge it, but I'll have to save up for a long time, so I need to know if it's really worth it. Basically, can I run high 12's NA in this thing without a radical h/I/cam setup, or would it be a lot simpler to just bolt on a blower? Thanks.

Trying to race with stock gearing is a no win situation
 

Yup I would go for the 3.73 gears,lets face it,tryin to race with stock gearing is kind of a waste :D

Later on down the line,you can still use these gears for a N/A setup or blower set-up.

pbcobra, definately get the 3.73's next, for the money its one of the biggest bang for the buck. in order to run high 12's you are going to have to put alot more power to the rear wheels. you have a pretty heavy car so you can either go with a new head, intake, cam combo or just like you said bolt on a blower or nitrous. blowing and nitrous each have their advantages. just research both and whatever you do don't do the job halfway. good luck

So do you think I could run a 13.1 with the mods I've got plus a cam, 3.73's, upper and lower control arms, and a chip? I've heard the cam and computer really hold back the 94-95 cobra's. Is there any truth to this? Thanks.

first off don't waste your money on a chip unless you get one customed burnt for your application. Second pbcobra it all depends on your driving if you can obtain a 13.1. With those modifications, a cam, a maybe a little porting on those stock gt-40 irons i am sure it is possible to run a low 13, but it will be definately challenging, not to say you can't do it, but it will be tough.
