Cam question?
 

Hey all.. Hope someone can help, give some advice.. I've had my new combo for maybe a week, (specifics in sig).. I had originally wanted to go with a B cam, and thought that was what I was getting. Just found out today that my mech. screwed up and installed an X cam instead! My question is this: Assuming this is only going to be a street car, is this cam hurting me enough that it would be worth it to swap it out for the B cam I originally wanted? I like the idle..Nice and lumpy, but, I've lost alot on the bottom. What do you guys think? Anybody running a similar combo? As always, thanks for your advice/input!

You should probably change intakes if you stick with that cam. Get an intake that has the powerband up a little higher like a Holley systemax or something else that is good to 6500 RPM.
