Conv. gear ratio?
 

What gear ratio came in the 89' Gt Convt 5spd? Was there many choices to be had? Buddy has a 89'GT Conv and wanted to know what gear ratio it has, without pulling the cover.
Any ideas?...

More than likely 2.73's thats what my 88GT had.

My 89 conv came with 2.73's

Mine's an auto but also came with 2.73's. Look in the door panel for a code. Someone here has the translation I'm sure since I got it for mine. Also, I think on the rear pumpkin itself, there is a label and should say straight out what your ratio is.
