Engine Bay

Is there an easy way to remove the paint from the engine bay. I do not hace access to a sand blaster. Is there a chemical I can spray on there and rinse off removing the paint or an I going to have to grind it by hand.

Paint Stripper

You can buy paint stripper for this from just about all good parts stores or from the Eastwood Company. I used this on wheels etc. and it wokrs very well. It comes in spray cans. Iwould take caution to keep it off wires and items you don't want harsh chemicals on such as windshield. I think you can buy it from most restoration companies as well such as Virginia Mustang, Mustangs Unlimited. Hope this helps. :)

Try an Aircraft paint stripper, sometimes called a gel stripper. It comes in a spray can or can be beushed on. I think its the easiest , cleanest way to remove paint either for a small place or coverage of a large area. Its formost quality is usualy there is no sanding required. Just lift the jell with a putty knife(I used a large plastic one so it wouldnt scratch) then wash the area with water.
