Cadilac STS?

What do these cars have in them. This morning one gave me a run for my money..Seems those cars have quite a bit of power for a luxury car..

I'm not real up to date on them, but as recently as 1998, they came with a 300 hp Northstar 4.6L DOHC 32 Valve V8 (N/A). They weighed over 4000 pounds, but still did a 15 sec. 1/4 mile (stock). I know that simple head/cam packages can bring the hp to over 450. I've also heard that the 2003 Northstar 4.2L DOHC 32 Valve V8 is conservatively rated at 350 hp (N/A), and 425 hp w/ a supercharger, but I don't think any are on the street just yet. Not sure though.

Take care,
-Chris

Yeah they seem pretty quick.Guess it just suprised me that all..Really wasn't a race the car just pulled out in front of me and i thought i would have to slam on my brakes,,but i didn't..lol

They are almost as quick as a stock LT1. So they are capable of mid 14's I think.

I've seen some of the newer STS models test in the 14.7's or so in the 1320 not bad for a luxo sedan! Lots of fast cars out there these days.

I rent a Caddy about twice a year, and I can safely say that the Seville and Deville HAUL. At 75mph, you can stomp on the gas and it will press you into your seat. At lower speeds it downright leaps forward.

Caddy

3.71 rear axle ratio.

2.96 first gear ratio.

It's all good.

SRV1, I'm not trying to change the post but I have to comment on your Confucious statement. It's wicked funny, but do you know this one? Confucious says, "He who pull out fast, leave rubber"!:D :D :D :D :D
