Nitrous questions

I was thinking of adding N2O sometime this summer and it occured to me that I know nothing about it.

Here is what I've got:
TRW forged flat top pistons
World Windsor Junior heads
Edelbrock cam, carb, and intake
Basically, nothing in the motor is stock and it was rebuilt fresh last summer.

I was thinking of going with the Edelbrock Performer Nitrous System, with the 50, 75, or 100 shot levels and a Jacobs Nitrous Mastermind to control it.

Will this combo work saftely with what I have? What is the highest shot I should run?

from everything i've heard you are cool under a 125 shot ... esp since you've already got forged pistons

You can easily run up to a 150 shot without the need for the Jacobs set-up.

I still have a completely stock ignition system.

I agree you should have no problem with a 150 shot. I dont think I would do it with a stock spark though

What year is your car? Does it have the duraspark ignition? If you are worried about having enough spark you could always get the Mallory685 and Promaster coil. With the 685 box you can pull timing only when using the nitrous, so you still have normal power when you arent on the button. I ran it for awhile on my 94, for $300 its a great ignition system!
