Wow. That's just nuts! A 607 fuelie Ford...cool.

Do you really think he's got $30K in the motor?

Imagine that thing in a little fox body coupe. That would be unique and scary all at the same time.

Just imagine it in a little Shelby coupe :D

I bet that thing would give John Force a run for his money

Moxie 03-20-2002 11:02 AM

That engine + direct port nitrous + tube chassis = 6 sec. 1/4 mile timeslips. Hell yeah.

Mercury 03-20-2002 11:35 AM

And I was looking for a new engine to put in my riding lawn mower. YEEHAA.:D

Hey man not to put you down or anything but have you ever seen a Yogo, I have 4 in the glovebox in my truck right know. I cant even imagine that on the street. That would be nuts, you couldnt run it in an automatic car. The brakes wouldnt hold it you had to stop at a light, you'd either have to have it in a stick car or just find neutral every time you stopped. Think of the top end speed you would have out of one of that motor with about a 2.73 gear in the rear. Man that would be fast.

One question...what's up with using a timing belt on an engine capable of producing that kinda power?? Seems like a gear drive or strong-as-hell chain would be the way to go....

Good observation, Nathan. I didn't even think of that until you mentioned it.

Didn't it say that it was a Danny Bee belt drive setup? Is that supposed to be more accurate than a timing chain setup? And what about a gear drive? Aren't those supposed to be the most accurate?

I haven't really done any check on the Danny Bee systems...they must be pretty bad ***.

Also, I guess it allows pretty quick and simple adjustment of cam timing. Interesting.

Thanks. Now I have to wipe a bunch of drool off my roomates keyboard.:D

That engine would be fun in a car that weighed 6000 lbs, let alone in a 3000 lb Mustang.

Coupe Devil 03-20-2002 04:19 PM

I think the purpose for the belt system is to always keep good close timing even with alot of miles. It works like (I dare say) al lthese little foriegn cars, thats why they run for so long. The belt wears out but the tensioner always holds tight to keep accurate valve timing. With a chain and even a gear, metal to metal wears faster we cant deny that.

Woh' that is a sweet *** engine! If you put that in a fox body and stepped on it, your front wheels would pick up so far up you'd do a backflip. :D
That is mad power!

69fastback 03-20-2002 08:52 PM

i had better look for my money stash. yeah i wish.

PGkelly 03-20-2002 09:25 PM

that's pretty incredible....i want one. i wonder how high it revs.

MustangMarine50 03-20-2002 10:02 PM

Thats on sweet engin i wouldn't mind having that under my 91' then maby it would run but question for the guy that said the driect port nitrus did you say you should put that on it or did you say it already has it b/c thoes are fuel inj. 160lbs to be exact so if you were saying it has direct inport nitrus look again
