OKAY GUYS/GALS....
For those of you that dont frequent Female Power, I'm gonna post now about the SSOTN(SuperStallions Of the Net) Spring Shoot Out at Cecil County Dragway, Rising Sun, Maryland...
Its April 13th. Saturday. For those that got your new 5.0 mag in the mail, there's an article on page 203 about the one last fall we attended. It was a KICK! It was me, MustangMom2k, NotSo Old guy w/ a 87GT, and 96Sidewinder...
It was SOOOOOO cool to meet them!!!!!! I had allready met MOM when she came here for our Poker Run and stayed w/ me.
The host hotel is the Crystal Inn about 5 min. from the track, and they are offering rooms for about $70/nite.
Mom has links to send in entry fees for the day of racing, and for the Hotel rooms listed in FP on the "Easterners" thread! We have our rooms allready, and I'm about to book my flight to arrive there on that Friday the 12th at Dulles. We will go by MOMs then drive to Cecil that afternoon. Then I'm shooting to fly out of Baltimore Sunday afternoon. Last year I left WAAY toooo early and could only stay at the hotel Friday night! This time we will stay there Sat. night too so we can all party together the whole weekend!!!!

Heres OLD GUY.... btw: the weather SUCKED!!!! It rained the first 3 hours or so. we got drenched! Didnt get the track dried up till about noon or so.. But then it was GREAT!

I dont know if you know all the stories about us launching Armadillos from Texass and RATS from NY, but I brought everyone a TEXAS ARMADILLO! NOT LIVE OF CORSE. now days....the airlines might consider that a weapon!!!!! MAN, i never been frisked so much in my life than when I flew up there less than a month after 9/11!!!!!
BUT...when MOM came here for the Poker Run, It was the WEEKEND after 9/11 and she STILL came, even after her husband was in the Pentagon working when it happened!!!!!!
Talk about stress relief!!!!!!
If I bring Armadillo's I dont want them to end up on the bottom of ya'lls closets!!!!!!! They should be diplayed w/ TEXASS PRIDE!!!! hehehe!:D

tnt ....still got my little armidillo from last year ,he sits on the dash ........he's kinda turned into a sorta gauge for how fast i'm driving ........when he goes flying off the dash -that means i'm driving to fast ,......when he goes flying off the dash and winds up in the back seat -that means i'm driving "way to fast".....the little guys become part of the cars charicter now

but as far as i know i'm going to be there ,should be fun this year

LMAO!! Last Nov. I let Topless race Pepe since she was having such bad withdrawals from her car. She had never driven/raced an automatic, so I told her to put her left foot on the brake, and her right foot on the gas, and PUNCH it on the 3rd amber. Well, she evidently did cuz she was having a really good run, but as we watched the car cross the traps, we noticed a red glow from the rear of the car. "Are those the brake lights?", we ask in astonishment. "Good Lord, she's running with her foot on the brake!!!" Hahaha!!! I'm sure she wasn't pressing down...just resting her foot, but it was hysterical! She still got a 14.01 run, I think!! Not bad for her first time in an auto and a strange car!

Looking forward to meeting more of my fellow easterners, and of course seeing old friends again. :) Topless, it'll be much more fun this time since we won't have to rush right back to the airport!

So a dash board mounted armadillo is used somewhat like a G-Tech performance meter? If it goes into the back seat, then we're doing well, acceleration wise? If it smacks into the windshield, then the brakes are good? if it hits the side windows then the lateral G's are OK?

Lots of armadillos here in Texas, I just don't have one on the dashboard yet. I have caught those poor little critters by the tail though, but always just let'em go.
