Cylinder Number Order?

Ok, in an attempt to figure out whats wrong with my car... On a 1990 Mustang GT 5.0, how are the cylinders numbered... Is this right?

Passenger|Driver
Side Side
Back Back
7 8
5 6
3 4
1 2
Front Front

So basically looking at the engine is this the correct cylinder order? I'm still way upset I can't find my freaking Haynes Manual. *Sigh* I'm hoping that order isn't right. Because if it is, I've got a huge problem on my hands...

Actually, on the passenger side going back towards the fire wall, it is 1,2,3,4. Then on the drivers side, front to back is 5,6,7,8. Hope this helps.

Bro I just took the autozone firing order and cross examined it with the correct order on the distributor. I knew the distributor HAD to be right, I followed it wire for wire. Now I just figured out my mistake. It all matches up with what you said and what I just figured out. I accidentally got 7 and 8 criss crossed. Its raining now or I would try it but I'm 100% sure that is why my car runs like crap. Thanks man.
