N20 question
 

I was thinking about installing a nitrous kit in my GT, any kits you guys/girls are partial to? Also what jetting should i use on a stock motor, i would really not like to toss the motor on new car. Thanks.

I don't have any real answers for you but here's some food for thought. In the August 2001 issue of MM/FF there is a 99 GT with a automatic, stock save for underdrives, Nitto drag radials, and 3.73 gears. With these mods she ran a best of 13.87 @ 98mph

With a 75 hp shot it ran a 13.07 @ 106, with a 2.04 60 ft

100 hp jets, she ran a 12.34 @ 108, with a 1.70 60 ft

If I remember correctly a couple issues later she blew the intake apart

Nitrous Express.... got a kit from an online store at www.mustangx.com for under $450. The guys there also price matched any other advertised prices. I haven't taken my car to the track yet to test it, but I wouldn't pass 100 shot on a 4.6L, w/o changing the plugs to non platinum, and dropping the timing 1-2 degrees.

did you have the kit installed or did you do it yourself? If you did it yourself was it a hard install? Thanks

Installed it myself. It was not really that dificult, as long as you can read and understand basic directions you should be able to install it yourself. That website I mentioned also has an online "how to" installation guide, although basic... it helps complement the instructions that come with the kits.

Once the money comes in i am going with the same company as cyclical. I am getting the NX kit but using the 100 hp jet. I plan on putting the purge kit jets in the snouts on my hood.

do you street race alot? ever race manassas? i been hearing some good things about the street races there, but i think the cops are bad. any info?
