yanking the voltage regulator?

Can you rip out the voltage regulator after installing a 130 amp alternator?

Is this on your 91'?

If so the VR is inside the alternator.

It you have an external VR then yes you can ditch it when installing a 3g.

86' and newer had a internal regulator.

85' older had a external regulator.

O.K. thanks, yep it's on the '91. I did a full system charge test and found a parasitic draw. It said "excessive amps". At first I thought it meant the 130 amp was too much for the car, lol.
