To Trade Or Not To Trade?
 

WHAT would you guys do?,

I was just offered to trade my 98 vert for a 99 coupe, "even". The 99 has every option but is stock and has 16,400 miles. My 98 is slightly modded but looks soooo cool. But I would get a year newer car with 30K less miles and 40 more HP. Anyone have any advise? Check my sig before deciding!

I would take the 99 Coupe. I'm a Coupe kinda guy. But it also depends on things like condition of the car, and if the Coupe has things that you desire and like.

It just depends on what you want though.

Do you have a picture of your 98 vert? I would personally take the 99 coupe, but whatever your preference is.. (Looks / Performance). What color is the coupe? Just curious..

I'd trade in a heartbeat!! You're looking at a full second ET difference!! Also, the 99+motors are a SO MUCH better platform to begin mods. Do it.

Yah, definately.. I am hoping to trade in my v6 and start payments on a 2000, or 2001 GT..as said in another post.. i want to mod my car, but i think the money and time will be much better spent on a newer (99+) GT, then my shortblock ;) now the next step is to convince my dad (mom already taken care of), this spring break, to allow me to do this.. Its my money, don't see why he'll care, but it is my dad..

anyway, yes, trade it or we'll cyber beat you up. :D

I have a buddy with a 97GT VERT and he will be the first to admit that everything about a 99+ coupe other than the top down feature is better. Handling, ride comfort, definate power increase, much tighter over bumps, solid on everyshift... go try it ... you'll see!

Go for it! Unless you are getting screwed. what did the dealer offer to give you? How much is the '99?

Yah... i had a friend (very GOOD friend) try my stang out, its a 5 spd.. and he didnt really enjoy driving it, it was pretty difficult for him, but when he drove his gf's mom's 2000 GT, he said the shifting was very clean.. i hope thats true when i go to a GT.. which im sure it is..

Hope this pic works. This is the 98 I would trade for a 99. The 99 is the dark red with all options, auto, etc. with 16,400 mi or so. This is a straight trade, title for title from a friend I bought the car from originaly and he really wan't it back! The retail price is actually about 500 bucks more for my "98" so I really need to look over this "99". What do you guys think, Trade or not?

Here's another vote for the 99. I agree. You'd be crazy NOT to trade him. Go get the 99, man! That's beyond a good deal.

Well....I guess it all boils down to trade-in value..........cuz here is what I think will happen: you'll trade for the 99, you'll like for a while then start to miss your vert when the sun shines, but now you know you need the speed also, so you trade it in on 03 Cobra vert :D

And I think the 99 might fetch a bit more :D
