1mintlx,
Good to have you. Sounds like you have a pretty good running car there. This is a good board with some very capable users. Once again, welcome aboard. --nathan ------------------ --silver_pilate '91 GT, Built 306, Wolverine 1087 cam, ported Windsor Jr. Irons, and all the goodies...click the link to the left to see a full list of my mods... Hi 1Mint - Welcome.
How do you like that Hurst shifter? Paul ------------------ '87 5.0 LX Convertible 5-spd. Headers, cat-back, Bilstein shocks & struts, springs, pulleys, K&N filter, full-length sub-frame, strut tower brace. Aren't these cars great? |
Hey Nathan and Paul............thanks for the warm welcome. Car has been running great - up until 2 weeks ago. I've been experiencing some surging-hesitation (almost like a slight bucking feeling when accelerating) and white smoke/bad smell out the tailpipes. I'm thinking a head-gasket (smoke/smell out tailpipes) and bad spark plug gap/or fouled plug (surging-hesitation). As for the Hurst shifter......not extremely happy (difficult hitting 3rd at times). I've been told to switch to a Pro-5.0. Any ideas/suggestions?
