First off, what makes you think you need a chip? Are you having some driveability issues? Tell us everything and we can help.

That being said, unless your running some type of forced induction with 36 lb injectors or bigger, a chip is useless on a mostly stock motor.

The other options to a chip would be something like the EEC tuner or a Tweecer. They allow you to control most everything that would normally be controlled by your car's electronics. But once again, they're only beneficial when you have alot of mods.

Major drivability isuess the car run like @$$ not as much power as it should, 01 stangs kinda SORTA pull on me, i mean look what i got... and the car cant cruz below 2300 rpm. when i do it feels like im in like 5th at like 600 rpm and the whole car jercks back and foth... and it feels like it isnt firing right all the way throught the rpm range WTF... horible gas mialage... and it just isnt plain fun to drive when its like that... so yeah PSI is at bout 42 and timing is at 32-34 yeah 32-34 and it is accuarate i used a dial gun (u know the one with a dial on the back and i have used it before) so yeah ITS NOT FUN TO DRIVE AND THAT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

19 lb injectors?

I was under the impression that 19# injectors can barely handle slight modifications, much less high-flow heads. You might be waaaaayy lean.
I don't have the duty cycle info in reach, but I'll look for it for you.

Mods like yours on a 94-95 Mustang GT really require tuning. I gaurantee you are not getting the full potential out of your car. I custom chip/dyno-tune will solve your drivability issues and work the weak spots in the computer.

For an excellent example and write-up on this subject, go to User's Rides on this website and look for fweathers under 94-98 Convertibles. He added a complete GT-40 set-up, exhaust, and maf to his 95 GT convertible. His car dynoed 255/287 at the wheels with his mods just bolted on. Dyno-tunes the car and hits 268/304 at the wheels. That is with stock timing and stock cam. He later adds a cam and runs a 104.32 in the quarter with a heavy 95 conv.

Not only did his peak numbers improve but he gained both hp and tq throughout the rpm range. The tune took out the 2 sec delay before going to WOT, took out flat spots in the timing curve, maximized fuel-air ratio, and reset when the fan comes on to keep the engine cooler.

These are all problems that exist in every 94-95 GT. Without some sort of tuning, like expert dyno tuning, your car will continue to be a bit on the weak side. There is a guy on the Corral who added a complete exahaust, maf, gears, and a PIH to his otherwise stock 95 Cobra. He just ran in the 12's at 109. He claims the same thing, without his PIH changing the parameters in his computer (PIH might just change out the computer, I am not sure), no way he could have run that time.

Just my two cents. Good luck. :)

1995MGTS is exactly right! He has been there and done it and so have I. Welcome to the club Patrick. Is your car an auto or 5 speed?

If you dont have a tuner close to you with a dyno, call Johnson Motorsports. Chris is an excellent tuner! He can get you real close with a custom mailorder Autologic chip.

With my first chip in my 94 the difference was like night and day! Driveability was restored and I had a HUGE difference at the track too! I later learned that his recommended fuel pressure was really fat. (for safety reasons) If I could have tuned it on a dyno then I could have probably picked up another 10-20 horse.

The 19lb injectors are good for close to 350 naturally aspirated horsepower. Opinions vary on this subject, and this is just mine.

I agree...

The dyno showed me a lot of points for correction.
It's the best feedback you can get and I believe
it's worth it even if you only get your A/F right.
I also concur with the injector numbers for the 19 lb's.
Good luck.
Got my next dyno trip next Monday.
