Tuning suggestions!

I have a 87LX that is mostly used for weekends (racing) and some driving , this is a full weight car , looks like the day I bought it! It has a 347 with c-4 X pipe and dynomax muffs 3.73s It runs O.K but when you start it it idles like a blower car until warm it also passes Maryland fast pass emissions. Would a custom chip help ! or a intersepter? (old) Ron Anderson I think has something like it also, Must be easy to use! 11.84 @ 113.7 1.58 60ft Thanks:confused:

I'm assuming your car's still fuel injected. If so, the computer is in an open loop mod until the car reaches a high enough temperature, once it does I guess the car's running fine, right? What size injectors, heads, cam, etc. are you running? Having a chip burnt would probably help, although I wouldn't just have one burnt anywhere. Find a shop that makes dyno pulls and has a wide band O2, that way it can be burnt exactly for how your car is running.

The injectors are 30# , Windsor Sr heads Xe 274 Comp cam It runs well when warm , but I know it could be better! The local speed shop has all of the Dyno equipment! If you dont have the BIG BUCKS! as in let them build it all there is a slim to no chance! and if it isnt Brand X well you know! I will try some more tuning , maybe with a pyrometer, thanks for the help!
