NEW 2000 V6 Underdrive Pulleys?

Ok, since the other string I started now has 18 replies and 209 visits (WooHoo!) I'm going to start a new one to talk about this.

Steeda and ASP are both advertising 2000 V6 underdrive pulleys, not really pulleys but a single pulley/balancer.

First, I've heard replacing your pulleys can cause alternator and water pump issues. True?

Second, can you replace just the one pulley, or do you need to go the distance and do em all?

Last, has anyone heard any good/bad news about these products, I'm really leery about this upgrade.

Take care all

On a v-6 you should have to replace 2 pullies. The alternator and the crankshaft pully. Excessive motorsports (on the first couple of black pages in muscle mustang and fast ford.) has them for a 2000. I have them on mine and I like them. I am also pushing an amp with 2 12" subs and I have no problems with the alternator. Also no prblems with the water pump. I love them.

Ok, I've found multiple underdrive pulleys for the 1999 and below, but I cannot find anything for the 2000's, am I missing something?

Not to restate my original question, but is there any real reason for me to be concerned about using Steeda's part? I'd like to keep things as simple as possible.

If I'm missing the parts, does anyone have a web site that sells the 2000 V6 underdrive pulleys?

Try this one.... Redlined Perfomance

The ASP part they're advertising is the same as the steeda part but reportedly lower quality.

Quick question though, what the heck is a Densecharger? They advertise as selling it with the pulley.

The DenseCahrger is a Cold Air Induction kit made by DeMolet Motorsports. You can buy the ASP UD pullies from RPM without the DenseCharger for $170. DenseCharger is similar to the Mac CAI, but made of plastic instead of chrome so it is half the price.

So the ASP part and the Steeda part are basically the same thing, has anyone installed either part in their Stang?
