Well, I read your post and I'm going to respond - not sure how much help I'm going to be. :D

Anywho, I've heard/read about McCloud clutchs, but not 'Webber McCloud.' I'll assume they are one in the same. I haven't heard anything bad per se, but if I were you I would just stick with a Ford clutch.

I recently purchased and installed a King Cobra clutch kit and am very happy with it. You can order this kit from any of the advertisers in MM&FF or 5.0 magazine and they can probably have it to your house in one-two days.

Good luck,
E

FRPP HD is supposed to be a very good clutch, I'd be surprised if you can't find something else from Summit or JDSperformance Jegs etc. I don't know anything about McCleod Clutches.

Well i bought it like an hr later after the post, its called Weber McCloud ... the guy at the spot recommended it over the Centerforce cuz supposily they last longer then centerforce and are equivilant hp rating... so i bought it... retail price is like $450 for the 3 things, i payed like $300 cuz of the shop discoount....hopefully i don't need the flywheel or the cable...i'm broke.

What's the horsepower rating on a centerforce dual friction?

Beavis 04-03-2002 10:32 PM

i was told around 300, aswell as this one i bought is 300...

red82gt 04-04-2002 03:25 AM

The CF dual friction is rated for 600 horsepower.
$300 for a clutch that's only rated for 300hp is a bit of a gip in my opinion.
I'm perfectly happy with my 4 year old FMS HD clutch that I paid less than $300 Canadian for mine after taxes and shipping.

Never heard of Webber McCloud either.

If I were you I would get a cobra clutch kit from D&D performance it cost around $150 it grabs great and is soft, if you want to get a expensive, better grabbing clutch go for a SPEC.
