egr spacer?? please help
2 quick questions...
1) on an 87-93 mustang, if upgrading to a 70mm tb do i have to use an egr spacer? just wondering because i'm not using an egr valve.. i guess the main question is can this be done, like do the bolt holes line up and would anything bad happen if i did? 2) since i'm not running an egr valve my "check engine light" came on.. is there anyway to turn this off?? p.s. this is on my '94 cobra thanks, josh 512-689-6890 |
i was told that taking off the egr and plugging it on the 94-95 wont make the check engine light come on, but i tried this and mine came on too. all i did was take the bulb out of the instrument cluster though. (thats a definite way to turn it off).

I don't know about the check enging light thing, but I do know it will all bolt up without a spacer. You just need somthing for your throtal linkage.

As others have mentioned:
It _may_ cause some check engine lights... and you need some sort of bracket to bolt the throttle cable to... and it spaces the intake tube to the correct location. Yeah, what a waste of $50, but I had to get one too! |
