Looks like a nice car man. I love those cobra wheels on a fox body. Sweet man, good job.

I've got to change my signature...
Here's a list of whats on it: 289 small chamber heads-ported (2.02, 1.60) Cobra 1.6 roller rockers Manly pushrods K-motion valve springs Keith Black 10.5:1 pistons Eagle rods Stock crank-balanced Ultradyne 588 lift cam Cobra upper and lower intake Edlebrock 70mm throttle body 24lb motorsport injectors Underdrive pulleys JBA longtube step headers MSD ignition box and coil Motorsport high volume fuel pump Electric fan Two chamber flowmaster exhaust World Class 5 speed- Pro 5.0 shifter Motorsport billet flywheel Centerforce clutch Adjustable clutch linkage and Steeda clutch quadrant Motorsport aluminum driveshaft Lakewood driveshaft loop 8.8 with Richmond 4:10 Auburn 31 spline Posi unit Moser 31 spline hardened axles 95 cobra disc brakes and rims 6 point roll bar Monster Tach All for $5,850 The body is in good shape, but really could use a paint job. The car is a blast to drive!! There is an exhaust leak that is really annoying. It pops and back fires whenever I downshift....and the powersteering leaks, but other than that I am really happy with it. |
I've got the roomates two door speck next to me:) We call it the blue skittle.

nice car, good looking engine, not a bad start at all, good luck:D

Looks like a sleeper right now, how it is.

i've always wanted a car that popped and backfired when i downshifted. ever watch ALMS races? look for the flames shooting out of the exhausts (on the passenger side) of the M3 GTR's. just a thought, do you blip the throttle when you downshift? i've taken to doing that. just hit the gas and the clutch at the same time, matching the engine speed in the new gear to the wheel speed. i do it because it's cool, picked it up from watching motorcycle racers. probably helps one go faster on a road course too....

Yeah, I almost like it the way it is now without a paintjob. When I brought it home and I would show it to people, they would look at it and be like...ummm, nice car dude(not real enthusiastic) But when I start it up, thats when it changes. It looks like a normal 5.0(if you dont notice the rollcage) that needs a paintjob....just a bit louder. I was coming back through town after going to my parents house last night and I see a black 97 GT(I think) with nice chrome rims ahead of me. I dont make it obvious, but I make my way up to him. Super sharp looking car with a younger guy driving. The dash had neon on it?? Anyhow, I am right next to this guy at a stop light(people in front of us). Both his windows are half down, so I roll mine down and look over at him. He just kept looking straight ahead. I stayed side by side with him for awhile and he wouldnt even look at me. ??? I figured he would maybe get on it a little and have some fun, but no. After awhile he turned off and went his merry way. Oh well. I'm just pumped and waiting to eat some rice this summer:)
