darn.....looks like the rear bumper cover is the only good part left on the car :(

alcohal + fast cars ......bad mix

1BAD89 04-06-2002 02:55 AM

Kinda weird..knowing that whoever was in that car is dead now. In your honest opinions, do you think a 8 or 10 point cage would've prevented that car from crumbling?

mustangdani55 04-06-2002 09:57 AM

What happened???? I seriously hope the roll cage would have helped... but Alcohol and cars just don't mix.... i don't drink at all so i don't have to worry about it. I am always everyones designated driver. They always tell me i am silly enough I don't need to drink.;)

personally i think an 8 or a 10 would have if it was built right. but that is just my opinion.

bobtodd 04-06-2002 11:19 AM

I went out last night and a had a few. The stang was left in the garage and my girlfriend drove me. I dont mess around with drinking and driving. It's just not worth it.

PGkelly 04-06-2002 12:10 PM

an 8 or 10 point may have helped. the worst wreck i've ever seen were the pictures floating around a while ago of the ferrari. you could tell that was bad because the car was literally a big red wad, like it had flipped, rolled, flipped, rolled, smashed, flipped, rolled, and hit the gaurdrail. if that mustang had like a hardcore rally racing 24 point cage it would have been A-OK

Unit 5302 04-06-2002 02:54 PM

The Ferrari was horrible, not even right to post. Looked like it went under the guardrail to me.

As for this Mustang, it obviously flipped and hit some pole or landed upside down on the middle of a hump or rock or something.

I thought cars that people died in had to be crushed, unless released for use by their family spokesperson.

Unit 5302 04-06-2002 02:58 PM

Without knowing what happened specifically, I can't guess whether a roll cage would have helped.

Stang_Crazy 04-06-2002 03:01 PM

I gave up alcohol so I don't have to worry about drinking and driving. I don't know how many tmes I've been behind a car late at night and see it swerving into the other lane then back over onto the shoulder. Be careful people. Even if you don't drink and drive, others do and we have no control over them. Be careful and wear your SEATBELT!! Who cares if you're not "cool" for wearing your belt...you'll be alive if you wreck.

joe4speed 04-06-2002 03:10 PM

Wow! that really is bad! :(

huh. i ALWAYS wear my seatbelt. its a habit. i feel like i am naked without it. even if i just go around the block its on. i never got ragged on for wearing one, EVER! not even in high school. i wonder what losers who think they are not kewl?

Stang_Crazy 04-06-2002 05:40 PM

It happened last summer. My buddy was giving me a ride in his 97 GT. We had our seatbelts on like always. He rolled through the local hangout and a few kids stopped us to talk cars. The first thing they said was "HAHA seatbelts. Way to be safe". I have no idea what their problem was but it just bugged the hell out of me that they said what they did. I don't care if it isn't cool or if someone doesn't like it. I wear my seatbelt for my own safety and well being.

I agree with you srv1. I feel naked without it...almost vulnerable. It's a habit that will save my life if necessary.

My dad told me he would take my car waway if he ever caught me without my belt on, also when i would go to the drag race they make sure you have your belt on so it got to be a good habit. even when i get in someone else car i am buckling up. if they rag on you just ask them if they rather be cool and smash there face into there windshield when they get hit or have there belt on and walk away from it??

srv1 04-07-2002 02:25 PM

HOLY SH*T!!

OMG, I have NEVER seen a car tore apart like that. Gives me a bad feeling just looking at the picture. Don't even want to think about the person/people that were in it at the time.:(

mustangman65_79 04-08-2002 03:32 AM

Hey, srv1, those pics don't show up. The last ones don't.

By the way, if u look in the background, u can see who he was racing. A neon with 20" rims.
(Sorry, back joke.)
