Who's running 275 50 15's on 15x9" rims? Please read
Are you having any problems? Did you have to roll your fenders? I think the preferred rim size for that tire is a 8.5" rim?
Most guys are running 275 50 15's on 15x8" rims I think, but I want Pro Star XP's and they don't make one, only 15x9 thanks and pics please if they're handy |
if you use a 9" rim you are spreading the tire out which will make it shorter but the real issue anyways is what your offset is. I run Welds with a 4.5" offset because I like the tires to be at the fender lip and they do rub during a hard impact with 275x50x15. I will roll the lip or just put back on my biggest bump stop so it will not come down that hard.

nine inch rims are much better for handling than the smaller rims...remember your rim size should stay relatively close to your rim size. For launches this won't matter, but around the corners it sure will. You also will get a bigger contact patch with the nines...this WILL help launches!
