Will newer Mustang driveshafts fit a Fox?
Will newer Mustang(94-present) driveshafts fit a Fox(T-5)? Does it have to be a GT or can it be a 3.8?
Reason is I'm getting bad vibrations from the driveline and I think it's the driveshaft? I've heard that the newer stangs had better driveshafts? |
I'm not sure about the newer driveshafts fitting, but I wouldnt doubt it if they would fit because most of the suspension components are the same.
But one thing I DO know is that you can get an aluminum driveshaft for fairly cheap (about $160). They do wonders for driveline vibrations. I'd highly suggest every fox mustang driver to buy one, even though I havent yet:D good luck, -Drew |
yes you can use the same driveshaft they are the same length. they sell the aluminum one for a reasonable price i would spend the extra cash and get one of those

I know where one is!
If your interested in a used stock one, I know someone who has the stock driveshaft off his '94 Cobra that he took off when he got the aluminum one. I know hed like to unload it! I got an aluminum one too, and I like it! :) TNT

Well if the newer model driveshafts aren't any better than the fox's then I guess I'll have to get an aluminum one.
There's a local shop around town that specializes in driveshafts and I here they're real good. Do you guys think its worth getting the old one balanced? |
i wouldnt think it needs balanced you prob just need new universal joints but i agree with everyone else for 160 from summit the aluminum piece is well worth it
|
I guess so. Does anyone know of a group buy?
I saw one a few months ago, $139. |
$139 is cheap! If its the whole thing...I'd go for it!!! AND they look good too!!!! :)
|
if you found the fms aluminum driveshaft for 139 let me know where ill buy one for that
