might just be in need of a tune up ....

if that don't help then get a fuel pressure gauge .....check to see if the fuel psi comes up when you turn the key on ........pump should run for like a sec as soon as you turn the key on ,it might be your pump or your pump relay causing the problem .....

another thing to check might be the coolent temp sencor

hope that helps :)

I would start simple and replace the fuel filter and move on from there if that proves to be no help.

Start your engines! (I'm trying!)

Could be a bunch of things.

Fuel delivery is certainly one thing to check (FP pressure) and of course, you need to be getting enough spark, too.

If it's original, at 12 years old, your starter may just be getting 'tired' and with the combination of an older engine and a weak starter, it takes a few tries to start.

How's the battery? If it's more than three years old or has been discharged a few times, it could just be too weak to give you a quick start anymore. They can be easily checked at Pep Boys, Auto Zone or any big auto parts store.

Cover the basics, first. Battery, starter, spark, fuel delivery - and you may solve the problem quickly.
