Aluminum valve covers worth it?

I'm thinking of getting aluminum Motorsport valve covers.....I know they look alot nicer than the stock ones, but is there any performance benefit (lighter etc)??? Also, what size gaskets w/ that?

The aluminum valve covers are supposed to be more rigid than the stamped steel ones. This translates to less leaks and a stronger cover. Id get load spreaders for the valve cover bolts when you do this cause you dont want to overtighten them and break them. (stupid broken valve cover) But i like them because they look good and you can polish them up somethin fierce.

Most EFI 5.0's came with cast aluminum covers my 90 has em. The motorsport ones of course look much nicer. No real performance upgrade unless on a 94 or 95 with stamped covers. I also belive the motorsport covers are stock height.
