Sway bar removal
I want to make sure I'm doing this right, I got my old mustang that occasionally I drive on the street and is basically my project car. it's an 86 and is a little heavy about 3440 with me in it. I think the 351 accounts for it being a little heavier than most LX mustangs. I might start stripping the interior out a little and just try to remove some dead weight. I also need better traction really bad!! Of course I think it's time to remove the sway bar. If anybody has done it, make sure I got it right. Allright I know you have to remove the sway bar endlinks, right? and then you remove the 2 bolts holding the brackets in on both sides of the car. And then you take the sucker out. Sound about right to yall??

Yep, thats about it.
The brackets have a special (weird) cap on the top. Just bust that off with a hammer/screwdriver to access the nut underneath. THe nut is at 4:00 on this photo: http://www.dariusrudis.com/mustang/engine/rad6.jpg |
Thats how I did it..
