Line lock users-Need advice
I'm FINALLY finding the time to replacing that bad bearing this weekend and since the engine bay will be empty for a little while I want to install a line lock system. But I don't know much about them. I see that Summit has a few to offer that range from $40 (Biondo Racing) to $110 bucks (Hurst), and they also have a Installation kit. Is there a major difference between these kits and do you suggest that I get the install kit?
Thanks in advance |
Hey, I use a linelock on my car and LOVE it. Really comes in useful. But about being a major difference in linelocks, Biondo Racing has the best linelocks out there. I have one on my car. It just goes to show you, how much a name will cost you more!!!

I have used two different line locks. I used the cheap $40 one from summit on one of my mustangs and a hurst $110 on on my Cobra and I say you get what you pay for on this one. The cheap one only has one in and out and didn't work very well wouldn't hold in the burnout box. The hurst has been perfect has two or three outs if your mustang brake lines are split after the master cylinder. The hurst is very solid and looks good under the hood.

I have the Biondo and it works great. Never had a problem with it holding and I still have the stock 4cyl brakes:eek:
