a couple of q's.....
 
i have an 88 gt. How can I tell when I blow a head gasket???? what are the symptoms??? I also have a 96 gt and it whistles sometimes when the engine gets at normal operating temperature. What could this be? I checked the pullies and I don't know if it is coming out from them, I can't tell. Any suggestions?????? Thanks guys I appreciate the help.

you will blow white smoke out of the exhaust, from the coolent getting into the combustion chambers. the whine could be the fuel pump.
