check engine light

Have I found the solution to the check engine light for aftermarket exhaust? I already know about mil eliminators and chips. But I found a new way yesterday. I put 93 octane in my 2000 and not only didi it run smoother but it shut off the check engine light. Has anyone else noticed this?????

That might work but I think it's just a coincidence. If that works it will be great I'm getting a MAC prochamber (No Cats) and I always run 93 octane (Premium) any way.
