Body Style Change?
 

Do any of you guys know if there is going to be a body style change for 2003, from the current 2002 style? I here that thee may be a horse power increase in the 4.6L. How will that be achieved?

Im not sure about 2003 but I think there will be a body change in 2004. THey are thinking of going to a smaller engine for the GT, like a 4.2. Lets hope this isnt so.......

That would be cool if their is an HP increase in the new model.

The body change was supposed to happen in '04, but I think it's getting pushed back to '05. As far as engine options go there are so many rumors flying around. The engine us modular guys should be pushing Ford to use is the mod 5.0. I believe this engine is the top candidate because it is already being tested in 'Stangs like the FR500's and in Paul Svinicki's Cobra which runs 10's without any power adders. A DOHC 5.4 is rumored for the next gen Snake and there are also a lot of smaller but supercharged engines Ford is messing with. Another possible engine is the 3.9 out of the T-Bird and Lincoln LS. Please Ford, DO NOT put this engine in the Mustang! Everyone complained when the 4.6 was first dropped in back in '96 but I think it actually turned out to be a far better motor then the 5.0. The only thing the pushrod Windsors have on the 4.6 is a bigger aftermarket but that is changing very quickly now.

BODY CHANGE ISN'T SUPPOSE TO HAPPEN UNTILL 04-05. AND IN MOTOR TREND A FEW MONTHS AGO THEY SAID THAT THE GT MAY COME WITH AN OPTIONAL LIGHTING 5.4 SUPERCHARGED ENGINE. I READ THE ARTICAL A FEW MONTHS AGO AND I CAN'T REMEMBER TO WELL. SO IF YOU HAVE SOME OLD MOTOR TRENDS LAYING AROUND YOU'LL FIND IT IN THERE.
