timing help
Ok, i know i'm supposed to line up my timing mark with the timing light. What i don't know is where i'm supposed to line them up at.

You will have a pointer mounted towards the passenger side over the top of the balancer.
Line up the flat side of this pointer with the timing mark that you would like to set it at. remember to pull the spout connector before you set the timing. hope this helps, -Drew |

We're getting ready to set the timing on our stang as we had to yank the distributor to replace a bad induction pickup. Where is the "spout connector " so I can disconnect? What do you guys recommend setting the timing at for a pure stock 88GT with headers, and a few other boltons like underdrive pullies. Should I set it at 14?

spout
the spout connector is on the same wiring harness as the connection for the distributor, it's located about 5 inches back from the main dist. connection. it is a small plastic plug that must be removed when setting base timing. I would guess 14 is plenty, However I wouldn't go much more than that though. :D
