What did you do to drop a second wernt you the one running a 14.66 with no serpintine belt???

He's running 13.6s. You're thinking of someone else.

He's also got aluminum heads which helps on the weight.

Geno, I'm taking this afternoon off if you want to hook-up. I'd like to go check out that scale.

Hee, hee, I guess I'm just lucky to only weigh 3150 lbs. with me and 1/2 tank of gas (no spare or tools).

And I think the HP is at the wheels.

cool, I weighed my car at the track, 3120 with me in it, im skinny at 155, i had spare, and some tools, stock hood, and all sound dampener intact.

and some heavy rubber mats with the horse from my cousins 67...:)

I think the hp is rated at the wheels, but that would mean i have 260+ at the fly:confused: that cant be right. were 87-93 stangs underated?

89 Cobra LX 04-18-2002 10:15 AM

My car weighed in at 3310 with me in it (160... maybe 170) and 1/4 tank gas.

I had no spare, a box with 2 10-inch woofers (a good 60 lbs), and still in full AC and smog trim.

Coupe5oh, I can't believe how light your car is.

What's a good way to start losing weight from my car? I already went with iron heads, so I probably won't be replacing them anytime soon.

aerospace brakes

89 Cobra LX
i was thinking of swapping out the brakes for aerospace or some other brand of aftermarket brakes, i think that would cut some weight up front. and also, since A/C is necessary...at least to me... for a daily driver or an occasional driver, why not lose the power steering? and the back seat if you havent done that yet
