Finally Done!
The dealer I got the car looked at just happened to have the twin of my car on their lot. Just came on. Stickered at $21,998. Just $1500 more than what I paid for the '01.
Here's the kicker. It was a 2002, brand new, and it had the Mach 460 system in it. Superior was totally awesome with me. They helped me out, gave me the offer to back me up should I need it, and knocked another $137 off the asking price (which INCLUDED the delivery charge) Bottom line, my GT was purchased for about $21,000. $500 more than the 01. It had 31 miles when I test drove it, and it now has 78 miles. :D It's the other car's twin, so no need for additional pics at the moment, you guys already know. Hehe. Just add the Mach 460! Sorry for not making the info available earlier, but I was gonna take NO chances. Hehehe. MY CAR IS BRAND NEW!!!! WHOO HOOOOO!!!! |
great news kell does it have leather & traction control, etc?
|
YEAH! :D
awesome, boy you went through a huge emotional swing this week, huh??? Congrats! (again;) ) |
HELL YEA! Thats awesome, so you turned out gettin an even better deal and a brand new car.
Im glad you got a killer new stang. Now I want some track times :) and see how it compares to that old speed density ringer. Skyler |
heheh..told you threats work. :) Lol. Congrats! Was going to jump online earlier to get the skinny, but the MB did it for me. lol I'm happy for you considering all the fanagling you had to do to get that darn dream car you've been searching for. Now the question becomes when I get to ride in it and you show it off? hehe jk, as always. :)

Congrats man!
Hopefully this mustang will be as freakishly fast as your last one! ;) |
Congrats on your purchase Unit. Maybe people will finally start believing me on how cheap cost wise the new Mustangs are. No one believes me when I tell them I got a brand new 2000 GT for under 20k.
Sounds like you got one hell of a deal there man. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. If your ever in NC, give me a ring. We'll line em up. Then I'll smoke ya. :D |
thats awesome unit. I don't think it could have ended up any better then it did. ARe you keeping the 87?
|
Congratulations on the new purchase, Kell. Good to hear that everything finally worked out for you.
I still can't believe we let you off the hook without any track ET's for the 87! :D I'm with Skyler on wanting to see some real world times on your new baby! If you've got $21,000 for a new GT, you've got enough to go race it!!! :D :D FWIW, a good friend of mine went 14.0x @ 98.xx last week in his '00 GT AUTOMATIC on stock tires. Only mods are CAI, bigger MAF and Flowmasters. Impressive in my book. Again, congrats. :) E |
Unit 5302/Kell:
Congratulations on your NEW Mustang. Glad you were able to back out of the 2001 and that you had a honest, reasonable dealer who offered you an even better deal on the new 'Stang. You handled it well and the dealer sounds like one of the 'good guys'. Best of luck with the new Mustang, break in well and enjoy it. I speak from experience when I tell you that there is nothing quite like owning a brand new Mustang. This will be a great weekend for you, guaranteed. :D |
Wow, talk about an emotional 180 degree turn! That's great! I'm really glad it all worked out for you as well as it did!
Post your track times as soon as you get them. I, too, am eager to see them! Have fun Kell, you earned it. :) Take care, -Chris |
Congrats on a killer deal and a great looking car. That color is one of the best Ford has put on a Stang.
Now you get to go through the emotional distress of finding every scratch, door ding and rock chip in the paint everytime you wash it. It sucks, I once owned a new car. |
Congrats Unit!!! Don't forget the track times now. I sure wish I could afford a new mustang every year!!:D
Later, James |
LOL, it wasn't quite over! They made me come back and put another $35.00 down,
Oh well, they needed proof of my astronomical income as well (almost enough to afford the car, hahah) Tousley took the other car back, and with very little work on my part. They were a cool dealer as well, but they didn't have what I wanted on the lot, and they were overpriced for me, anyway. Mercury, you're gonna have to get through the 2001 GT killing freak I have first, hehe (1987 GT). I haven't gotten rid of it yet, but probably in the next month or so. This one does have all the options, except automatic transmission. Everything else. I'm just ecstatic! As far as track times, it's gonna be a while as the tracks aren't open here, and the car only has 133 miles on it right now. Hehe. It'll be a good break in with no racing. I'm sure my 87GT would torch this one too actually. That damn Fox is just a freak of nature I swear. Thanks everybody!!! |
