What causes High Oil Pressure reading?

I am wondering what would cause my Oil Press Gauge to read almost all the way to the H on my gauge. I am wondering if maybe the gauge is bad. The temp is reading high also. The fan does not seem to want to turn on. Bad relay maybe? Thermostat? It will turn on when I cut the A/C on. Just wondering if anyone has dealt with this? It is a 94 with Underdrive pullies. I know they slow down the water pump causing it to heat a little. Thanks

First of all, get rid of that stock oil pressure gauge and get a mechanical one and then see what pressure youREALLY have.
High oil pressure can be cause by bearing clearances being too tight. Has the engine been rebuilt lately or at all?
Unless someone dumped a bottle of gear lube to hide a bearing knock.

I posted the same question recently.....I was told it was a low battery. Time for a 130amp alternator.
