MM lower control arms?
are the adjustable ones worth the extra cash...or should i stick with the standard?
out of all the people i know that are running lowers on their cars, not one of them has the adjustables on their and mine and everyone elses cars hook like a charm, so i would say that they are not worth the extra cash. your probably better off listening to someone who has actually used the adj. ones, though.
well i was just thinken it would be nice to adjust ride hight but...i dont know if there worth the cash
If your having tire rubbing issues, as I did, with center line convo pros and lowering springs, the ride height adjustable ones are the way to go. or if you want to drag race now or in the future, they can help with slick clearance problems that you may or may not encounter.
I would go for the adjustable ones for those reasons, but if your sure you will never need them and you dont want to pay more, the non adjustable are proven performers as well. |
If you plan on lowering and having your car sit level, you may wish to spend the extra few bucks...

drudis-what kind of arms are those? and if you turn the nut to adjust them..uhhh how do you make sure both sides are the same? and what kind of sway bar is that...its adjustable right?
oh sorry..thats not a sway bar..its like a pan hard bar...
Its a Griggs "adjustable spring perch" lower control arm.
You adjust for ride height and corner-weighting of the car. |
Wow, those things are rough looking. I have tubular ones from CCM.
Maybe Ill post a picture later for comparision purposes. |
i dont understand how you adjust it? i thought you turned it...like a nut and bolt sorta? and i was just wondering how you get it so both sides are even?
www.stangnet.com Look at thier adj. ones. I have these and they are fine. Same price as MM standard ones.
I forgot to tell you that they are adjusted with a 1/2" extension.
and if there adjusted with a extention then how do you get both sides the same height??
By looking at them with your eyeballs to determine they are the same hieght.
How else would you do it? |
Just measure from the ground(if level) to the lip of the outer wheel well or from the top of each tire to the lip.
