Stuck throttle about to cause serious problems

Guys/Gals,
Awhile ago I had this problem where the throttle wouldn't "let go" and I cleaned out the IAB and it solved the problem. Now it's back and worse- it's like an unwanted cruise control and the only way to get it to idle normal is to put it in first and use the clutch and brake. On the highway I leave it in gear and brake- not what should happen with a manual. How often does the IAB need to be cleaned? The throttle cable isn't cinched anywhere, could it be the T/B? Where's the best place to get a new IAB and how much do they usually run? Thanks-
Rob

Have you checked your battery connections? Sometimes extremely dirty terminals can reak havoc on the computer and cause a similar result. IAB's can be gotten at any Ford dealer, but they are rather pricey. Do you have a stock TB? If so, this would be a good opportunity to upgrade to a 65m FMS TB. It comes with both a brand new IAB and a brand new TPS sensor.

i had kind of a similar prob. dont know if its the same as yours though, the throttle would stick closed and it was because the set screw on the throttle body needed to be turned in a little bit, the butterfly in the tb was sticking closed
