Man the Cobra R is a sweet ride. I've never seen one in person, but I'd love to see and hear one in action. The Cobra R motor should go into EVERY Mustang period!!!!

To be honest, I would rather not have it. It is a hand assembled, very, very, expensive engine. It would raise the price of a GT by too much. I think ford is doing the right thing by offering a supercharged Cobra.

It would be cool to have a 5.4 in a mustang, but I would rather have a cheaper one :)

Well, if they mass produced it, they wouldn't need to hand make them :).

Cobra R is a badass car....Throw some low boost at it, and you can be at 500 easy :).

Thanks,

It wouldn't be that hard to mass produce this engine. Many of the parts from the current Navigator engine could be used. Except maybe a stronger rotating assembly,an aluminum block, new cams, better flowing heads and you'd have yourself one hell of an engine! This engine is rumored to make it into the next gen Cobra. Everyone keep bothering Ford and they'll give in and give us what we really want, a mod engine with some more DISPLACEMENT!
