Liftbars

What are better, the lakewood liftbars, or ssm, or is there much difference? i know i can get the lakewood liftbars. how hard are they to put in, and what else will i need to do?
Would i need subframe connectors?
also, what kind of traction am i going to notice with just the upgrade to some liftbars???

thanks.

Well I like the SSMs but you should re-enforce the torque boxes as a precaution they do add stress to the boxes. As long as you keep them greased they aren't that loud. Ever since I added my torque box kit I have never had any issues with my SSM bars tearing the box up.

I really don't like the Lakewood bars because they are like the old school traction bars and the rubber feet slam against the thin floor pan.

Subframes would be a good idea anyway to try to reduce some of the twist in the uni-frame. You should pick up a few tenths with the bars, although a lot of ET would be in a set of ET STREETS, then you will see the full benifits.

You could weld plates across the stock uppers to make them more solid also and save a few bucks...
