Motor's H/P - EST 1/4?
I'm looking into different companies for building up a 302/306 for me to put in my car and make it more or less an everyday driver. I got a engine with these mods but courious if its good combo and what kind of h/p and 1/4 est i'm looking at? And do you think it'll be good and hold up with a small 8psi or so super charger?
306 Block Forged Pistons (Didn't give me a brand) Forged Crank/Rods (Didn't give me a brand) Roller Cam (Didn't give me a brand) Ported E7T3 Heads That same block without all the forged parts rated 320 horses. I'm just wondering if i'll see any performance gains out of the forged parts or just have the peace of mind knowing I wont break them? :) The original block that was much cheaper without forged parts, consisted of Keith Black 116 pistons which are the Hyperutectic. I heard bad things about those pistons and a little afraid to get them. So would the extra money be worth it to upgrade to all forge or just get the upgrade to the Forged Pistons and Roller Cam? And keep the stock crank? |
I'm looking to run 12's if possible. What kind of combo should I look for? I wanted it all N/A. Any ideas?

where did you get the motor from? I dont think you will any hp gains fromt he forged pistons and rods but they will add some strength to your bottom end the ported stock heads will never flow as well as most out the box aftermarket heads(tfs, afr 165s etc. etc.) did get the specs. on the cam ? what intake manifold are you using ? what trottle body size? with the supercharger ? what is the compression as long as it mid to low and with the right fuel and timing you should be ok but if you go with more boost I would get a main support sysem from a good company like dss.

Run, don't walk to the nearest exit. How in the world could someone tell you that its a 320 horse motor if they won't even tell you about the cam. A stock cam is a roller cam, so that might be all that you've got. As far as the forged parts, forging won't amount to a hill of beans if they're still as heavy as the stock slugs.
